Workshop: Multilevel resilience: teams in their context.

Introduction

Resilience of organizations is determined by its capability to respond to the unexpected and to adapt. The capability to anticipate, monitor and respond as well as to learn are necessary to perform at organizational, team and individual level. Resilience of teams as a node in network(s) depends on both on its surrounding, individual capabilities and the resources at all “levels” available.

Workshop description

The interactive workshop is aimed to explore this multilevel relationship with among others a new questionnaire of TNO. This questionnaire will be used as a benchmark with participant’s experience. During the workshop resilience culture, resource management and decision making and learning practices will be explored.

The workshop will be provided by the TNO Project on Team resilience: Prof Jan Maarten Schraagen, Niek Steijger, Dolf van der Beek, Johan van der Vorm and Raphaël Gallis

Workshop goal

Goal of the works shop is to explore the concept of team resilience and relevant resources needed to develop team resilience.

Workshop presenters

Niek Steijger is Master of Management of Safety Health and Environment and technical scientist at TNO, Team Safe and Health Business. He is working in the area of team resilience, safety culture and learning organization.

Johan van der Vorm is Master of Management of Safety Health and Environment and senior technical consultant at TNO, Team Safe and Health Business. He is working in the area of multilevel resilience, organizational development, organizational learning for safety and one of the founding fathers of the Resilience Innovation Lab.
